Who we are
Nuchal Group Limited ("we", "us") is a company registered in Scotland with company number SC898115. Our registered office is 15 Niddry View, Winchburgh, Broxburn, EH52 6RR. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice.

Contact: Gregor Christie, Director, info@nuchalgroup.com

What we do
We acquire established UK businesses. To find businesses that may be a fit, we identify and contact business owners and directors directly.

The personal data we use

  • Name, job title and directorships

  • Business contact details (email, phone, business address)

  • Information about the company you are connected with

  • Anything you tell us in correspondence, calls or meetings

  • Booking details if you schedule a call with us

Where we get it

  • Directly from you

  • Public sources, such as Companies House, company websites and LinkedIn

  • Business data providers we buy contact data from

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To contact business owners about a possible acquisition. Legitimate interests: identifying and approaching suitable businesses. We only contact people in their business capacity.

  • To respond to enquiries and manage conversations with you. Legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement.

  • To assess and complete an acquisition, if discussions progress. Legitimate interests and performance of a contract.

  • To meet legal obligations. Legal obligation.

You can ask us for more information about how we have balanced our interests against yours.

Marketing and opting out
We contact businesses by email, phone and LinkedIn. Every email we send includes a simple way to opt out. You can also tell us at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or emailing info@nuchalgroup.com. If you opt out, we will add you to a suppression list so we don't contact you again.

Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host (Hostinger), email outreach (lemlist), email and file hosting, and scheduling (Calendly)

  • Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) and funders, under confidentiality, if a transaction progresses

  • Regulators or authorities, where the law requires it

International transfers
Some of our service providers store data outside the UK, including in the European Union and the United States. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US Data Bridge) or approved contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

  • Prospects who don't engage: deleted within 24 months of last contact

  • Ongoing discussions: kept for as long as discussions continue, then up to 6 years for legal and record-keeping purposes

  • Opt-outs: kept on our suppression list indefinitely so we can respect your request

How we protect it
Access to personal data is limited to authorised people within Nuchal Group. We use secure, password-protected systems with multi-factor authentication.

Cookies
We don't use analytics or advertising cookies. Our homepage includes a video hosted on YouTube. If you play it, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies, which are covered by Google's privacy policy. You can manage these through our cookie banner.

Your rights
You have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Have it corrected or erased

  • Restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it (including an absolute right to object to direct marketing)

  • Data portability

To exercise any of these, email info@nuchalgroup.com. We will respond within one month.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first and we'll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
